Current Responsibilities

Mr. Fern is responsible for growth of the Industrial New Jersey Office located in Iselin.  Mr. Fern is a 25 year veteran of the industrial real estate business and has extensive experience on both the investor and user sides of the business. 

Experience
During his 25 year career specializing in industrial real estate, Mr. Fern has leased or sold over two billion dollars of sales and lease transactions of industrial facilities.  Some of the more notable transactions were the leasing of 1,500,000 square feet to Barnes & Noble in Monroe, N.J., sale of 945,075 square feet for Electrolux in Edison, N.J., leasing of 390,000 square feet to John Wiley & Sons Publishing in Edison, N.J. for Heller Construction, the sale of 500,000 square feet FedEx facility to AMB Property Corporation in Elizabeth, N.J., sale of 750,000 square feet for KTR Capital, Pompano, California, and the sale of 1,250,000 square feet for Ashley Furniture in Leesville, Pennsylvania.

Partial Client List of Owners Includes: AMB Property Corporation, Prologis, Principal Financial Group, Greenfield Builders, Ashley Furniture, GAF, Inc., and Johnson & Johnson.

Honors

Mr. Fern was included in Real Estate New Jersey’s “40 under 40” and has earned Co-Star’s coveted Power Broker Award for 2004 through present.  He has been on the top industrial real estate team in New Jersey by CoStar for the last four years.  He has earned Broker of the Year award from Prologis for years 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2009.  Mr. Fern also was named Broker of the Year from Heller Construction.  In 2004, Charles was voted #3 on the Top 50 brokers in New Jersey and Pennsylvania in the NJPA Real Estate Journal and he and his team also won “Industrial Deal of the Year” in the same periodical.
