As a Founding Principal and Chief Technology Officer of The Aztec Corporation and Aztec Architects, LLC and a Registered Architect in twenty-eight states and the District of Columbia, Mr. Kalafsky has overall responsibility for the supervision and production of technical and computer aided drafting and design for each client's facility needs.  With his knowledge of local, state and federal codes and ordinances, he is considered an expert in code review and interpretation and has served as the Codes and Standards Chair for AIA New Jersey. He also researches the latest technology in both hardware and software for new advancements in the CADD Industry to develop ways to service Aztec’s clients more effectively and efficiently. Mr. Kalafsky continuously looks for ways to assist others in identifying and reaching their goals and objectives, which directly benefits all of our clients.

Personal

Mr. Kalafsky is currently serving the AIA-New Jersey as the Secretary for 2010-2011. Mr. Kalafsky, an Eagle Scout, is volunteering his time as a Committee Member for Troop 515 in Howell, NJ. He also serves as the VP of Administration, Chairman of the Properties Committee and as an Eagle Scout Career Advisor for the Monmouth Council Boy Scouts of America. For 17 years Mr. Kalafsky was actively involved with children as a Pop Warner Football Coach. He also served has the President of the local Executive Board and Division Commissioner of Jersey Shore Pop Warner Football League.  He has also served as a Head Coach for the Howell Recreation T-ball Program.  He has also found time to be a volunteer fundraiser for the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
