Mike has over twenty five years of real estate and construction industry experience, in project management, corporate real estate and facilities management, and as a registered architect, which he brings to his role as a Principal of MDJ Owners Representatives.
Prior to forming MDJ, Mike was the President of the Project Management Division of First Service Williams Real Estate and was a partner at a NJ based Owner’s Representative firm where he was the Principal-in-Charge of a wide variety of projects for corporate, non-profit and educational, retail and residential clients. He was also the Senior Project Director for Quartararo and Associates, a 50 person Owner’s Representative firm that is now part of Jones Lang LaSalle.
He also served as the SVP of Real Estate and Facilities for Gruntal & Co., managing the firm’s leased office space portfolio, as well as capital project management risk management, purchasing and telecommunications. Mike was also the Director of Design and Construction for Tiffany & Co., the global specialty retailer.
Mike is a licensed architect, has an MBA in Corporate Finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University, and a Masters of Corporate Real Estate from CoreNet Global. He is the Past Chair of the New York Chapter of the CoreNet Global Corporate Real Estate Network, a volunteer non-profit organization, which has more than 7,000 worldwide members.
He is extremely active in the real estate and construction community, and has published numerous articles on real estate and construction issues for magazines such as Crains NY Business, Real Estate New York and NJ, Perspective New York, and Business Facilities Magazines. He has also taught the Owners Side Project Management and Real Estate Development classes at New York University.
