Michiel Schuit is the President and founder of Watermill Equities, LLC. Watermill is a full service real estate firm that invests as a principal in commercial real estate assets which are located in the New York Tri State area. Prior to founding Watermill, he headed the acquisition department for The Treeline Companies, a New York Tri-State real estate developer with a portfolio of 2 million square foot of commercial space. Prior to joining Treeline, Mr. Schuit was a First Vice President at Loeb Partners Realty, LLC, a privately owned real estate investment firm with a portfolio valued at $2 billion. He was responsible for the purchase of $600 million of real estate assets in major metropolitan areas located east of the Mississippi. While at Jones Lang LaSalle and Aegon Life Insurance he developed in-house asset manager expertise working with a wide range of commercial properties located in the New York tri-state region. He began his real estate career in 1987 as an asset manager for Drexel Burnham Lambert’s real estate syndicate portfolios.
