Bob Scherreik, Executive Vice President of McBride Corporate Real Estate, Inc., founded the firm's Hudson Valley office in 1987. During the five-year period ending 12/31/08, Bob personally brokered the sale or leasing of over 1,150,000 square feet of industrial space, over 225,000 sq. ft. of office space, and over 540 acres of residential and commercial land; the aggregate transaction value was over $93,000,000. His client list includes IBM, Georgia-Pacific Corporation, Orange & Rockland Utilities, and K. Hovnanian Enterprises. He is one of the few commercial real estate brokers in the nation to have earned both the Active Industrial and Active Office designations of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR); given the stiff membership criteria, there are only about 2,700 members worldwide. He has also earned the CCIM designation from the CCIM Institute in recognition of meeting their experience and education requirements in investment real estate.
Bob is also a member of CORENET, the corporate real estate trade association, and has earned its prestigious M.C.R. designation after completing a rigorous curriculum and testing.
He earned a B.S.F.S. in Economics from Georgetown University in 1976, and a M.B.A. in Finance and Planning from the University of Michigan in 1980. Before devoting himself full-time to commercial brokerage in 1985, he was a financial executive with General Motors Corporation. He is the former President, and is currently a member of the Senior Council of the Industrial and Office Real Brokers Association of Greater New York, the leading organization of commercial real estate brokers in the NY metropolitan region.
