IOREBA GOLF AND TENNIS OUTING NETS 3,300-LB. FOOD DONATION FOR NEW JERSEY FOOD BANK’S MOVE FOR HUNGER
RE Organization Event Provides Day of Networking

DEAL, N.J., June 9, 2010
– Members and guests of the Industrial and Office Real Estate Brokers Association of the New York Metropolitan Area (IOREBA) recently participated in the organization’s 41st Annual Geoffrey Siegel Memorial Golf and Tennis Outing at the Hollywood Golf Club in Deal, N.J. The day-long social event offered playing time for golfers and tennis players, as well as lunch, cocktail hour and dinner.

“This year’s outing was well attended and gave our members and guests a chance to network on the golf course, tennis courts and at dinner,” stated Charles Logan Jr., president of IOREBA and chief executive officer for The Aztec Corporation/Aztec Architects LLC. “In addition, this year we added to our annual charitable giving program a third component by requesting food donations to benefit the New Jersey Food Bank’s ‘Move for Hunger’ Program.”

Attendees donated both money and unopened, non-perishable food items such as canned goods, dry goods, juice, etc. The food collected will bring relief to struggling families throughout the state of New Jersey.

“We are extremely proud and grateful that our members and guests answered the call to help others in need. This year’s Outing helped us raise nearly 3,300 pounds of food for the FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties,” Logan added. “This donation will go a long way to help families who have been burdened by the down economy.”

Murray Construction Company Inc. served as this year’s event sponsor. Other sponsors included the cocktail hour sponsored by AMB; the halfway house by Federal Business Centers; putting contest by PSE&G; longest drive sponsor Cassidy Turley; a hole-in-one sponsor of a free car provided by Buhler Ford; and 24 additional hole sponsors.

With roots dating back to 1927, IOREBA is one of the nation’s largest regional commercial real estate groups; the group has grown to more than 300 members that conduct business in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Connecticut.

To assist its members in difficult economic times, recently IOREBA created “IOREBA University.” This added educational platform will bring business, marketing, sales, finance and legal awareness and skills to its members. Logan stated, “This further shows the commitment that the Board of Directors, Executive Committee Members and Sr. Council has for its membership and the real estate industry as a whole.”
