HOBOKEN, N.J., Aug. 12, 2009 – As the first event for the 2009-2010 year, Industrial and Office Brokers Association of the New York Metropolitan Area (IOREBA) will host a joint meeting with members of Industrial/Commercial Real Estate Women, Inc. (ICREW NJ) aboard a boat cruise around Manhattan on Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2009. Boarding will begin at 6 p.m., and the cruise will set sail from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.
The meeting will be held on a newly released private luxury yacht, “Destiny,” which can accommodate up to 250 people. The boat with two interior decks and two outdoor decks (one covered and the other open to the night sky and city skyline) will sail out of the new Shipyard Marina in Hoboken, N.J., and includes a full buffet dinner with unlimited cocktails, beer, wine and soda. Jerry Zaro, Head of Economic Development of New Jersey, will be the featured speaker of the night, highlighting “Opportunities for Economic Development in New Jersey.”
Under a new fee schedule, members can take advantage of lower prices for this year’s networking events. The cost of the boat cruise is $125/person for IOREBA and ICREW NJ members and their spouses and guests, and $150/person for non-members. For events throughout the year, members can save between $25-$75 per meeting.
“Our networking events are well attended by members and non-members alike,” stated Charles Logan Jr., incoming president of IOREBA and president and chief executive officer for The Aztec Corporation. “Keeping prices lower during tough economic times ensures our members will continue to attend and enhance business opportunities.”
